~ Hula in the Land of its Birth ~

The International Waikiki Hula Conference offers the rare opportunity to come to Hawaii to learn, share and experience hula in the land of its birth, with a variety of respected hula masters, many of whom do not travel outside Hawaii to teach. For our local hula people, it is the chance to enrich their hula experience from many sources in one place, and to meet fellow dancers and kumu hula from around the world.

Hawaii Convention Center in Waikiki

Registration ends Oct. 31, 2010

We mourn the untimely loss of respected Kumu Hula Rae Fonseca, who died March 20 doing what he loved, teaching hula.  He was looking forward to sharing his hula with you at this conference.  We are pleased to announce that the hula classes he selected will be taught as he would have wished, by his kumu hula graduate and alaka`i, who proudly carry on his hula legacy.  Please see the class descriptions for details.
