International Waikiki Hula Conference
Join other dancers and fans of hula from Hawaii and around the world in a 3-day conference at the world class Hawaii Convention Center, November 13-15, 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
For visitors, the International Waikiki Hula Conference offers the rare opportunity to come to Hawaii to learn, share and experience the hula firsthand, with a variety of respected hula masters, many of whom do not travel outside Hawaii to teach. For our local hula dancers, it is a chance to meet dancers and kumu hula from afar, and enrich their hula experience from many sources at one event.

The conference package includes:
- Three full days of workshops and seminars. You may choose from among 128 classes offered by 42 noted kumu hula and Hawaiian cultural experts. Classes will cover all aspects of hula — modern and ancient dance, costume, lei-making, Hawaiian language, chant, history, songs, music and implement-making.
- The opportunity to perform your hula on various stages in Waikiki
- Opening Ceremonies
- Luncheon music and hula programs
- Closing Concert at “Sunset on the Beach” (alternate location if inclement weather)
